Pokemon Adventures (known as Pokespecial in Japan) is a series based on the ever popular Pokemon franchise. As of now there are 24 volumes pbulished in the Japanese language. the series was published by Viz Media up until volume 7 (volumes 8-23 have been published in enlish by Chuang Yi). The series is about a boy who dreams of becoming pokemon championand he starts off with a bulbasaur. After the first story ark ended in volume 3 many other series continued in vein of the original. The Yellow ark (volumes 4-7) is about a girl disguised as a boy who rides on the back of her doduo with Red's old pikachu. The Gold, Silver, Crystal ark (volumes 8-15) is about a boy (Gold) from the Pokemon House who believs a thief (Silver)had stolen his family's poekmno and chases after him , the story unravels to reveal Silver's past and the new and improved team rocket's plans. The Ruby/ Sapphire Ark (volumes 15-22) is about two children (Ruby & Sapphire) who one day encounter eachother in a cave and make a bet, to come back to the cave to show the other if they have accomplished their goals. Time limit... 80 days!
